​Cruise ships are fantastic.
They are like huge floating hotels with everything on board.
They are a fabulous holiday of a lifetime.
Holiday Cruising is a massive  part of the European and Caribbean Tourist industry.
Cruising has had a very difficult time in the last two years.

It will take time to build up confidence in the industry again.
In the last two years the Pandemic and Climate Change has made it very hard.
There were several earthquakes and Tsunamis in the Caribbean area.
One such earthquake struck between Jamaica and Cuba on the 28th January 2020
It was a 7.7 magnitude and it started in the Caribbean sea.
The earthquake was so strong that it was felt in Miami.
Miami police sent out a  Red alert to Evacuate many homes and buildings.
The Royal Caribbean was just one of  the many Cruise Liners at sea when this happened,
Thousands of people were terrified and afraid of what was going to happen.

The Captain of the Royal Caribbean ship insisted on an Urgent stop and pulled anchor.
Fortunately nobody was killed and the impact on the ships was limited.
