Chocolate Factory Fire by Meadbh Conneely

The lead up to Christmas is always a busy time for the chocolate manufacturing industry.  Orders come in very early and are very large.  Everyone is so busy, and managers are afraid orders won’t be done on time.  The order tracking system on the factory floor flicked between orange and red.  It was really important that we achieved green, and all orders had to be now treated as urgent.

It was four weeks to Christmas, and all was going well our tracking system was green for the last hour of everyday.  Until one day the smoke alarm started beeping and we all had to evacuate the building. ​
