The 100 Word Challenge Explained

This week we began a new weekly writing competition in 5th and 6th Class. The 100 Word Challenge (https://100wc.net/) is an established online national creative writing initiative. Each week a prompt is given, which can be a picture or a series of individual words, and the children can use up to 100 words to write a creative piece.
The first writing prompt takes inspiration from the huge international conference on Climate Change beginning today in Glasgow, Scotland. COP26 hope to get all the countries of the world to agree to work harder on reducing greenhouse gases, limiting the use of fossil fuels & many other strategies to bring carbon emissions down.
This week the prompt is 5 words that you may hear or read about over the coming week. You have to put them all into your writing but they can be in any order.
