Aims and Principles

We aim to create a supportive and challenging teaching and learning environment.
We design and implement the most appropriate learning and teaching programmes for all pupils, recognising individual differences in ability and in emotional, social and personality development.
We respect the dignity, talents and needs of individual pupils.
We aim to help children to think clearly, creatively and critically and to act independently.
We aim to enable children to live full lives and reach their true potential.
We aim to equip them to avail of further education.
We aim to develop in them a sense of moral values to live full and responsible lives as adults in society.
We aim to develop a positive awareness of self and a sensitivity to others.
We aim to develop a respect for the rights, views and feelings of others
We aim to develop self discipline and acceptable behaviour.
To develop a sense of responsibility for their own health.
To foster close relationships between school, home and community.
To recognise that parents are a vibrant part of our school and to involve them where appropriate.
To acknowledge that change is ever present in all areas of school life and to constantly address this educational challenge.
