NEW BUILD


​The Board of Management, are delighted to announce that Caherelly NS has been granted full funding by the Department of Education for a two classroom build, including offices, quiet spaces, skills room, toilets, soft play area and sensory garden along with ancillary services. Last year the Department sanctioned two special education classes (for pupils with autism) at Caherelly NS and thereafter the process to apply for additional accommodation began. Over the summer, after a tendering process, a design team was appointed. The design team comprises an architect, civil and structural engineer, electrical and mechanical engineer, quantity surveyor and health and safety engineer. This team has been handpicked for their expertise in the area of school building and will ensure we get the very best in building design, functionality and sustainability. We are currently in the pre-planning stage of the project. Works of this kind may take a number of years, similar to other such developments. Below is an outline drawing of one of the proposed designs. Whatever the final design, it will be an impressive building and will be fantastic for our school, children and community.

  • Trip to the Bualadh Bos Festival in the Limetree Theatre for Juniors - 2nd Class
  • Walking tour of Limerick for 5th & 6th Class
  • Visit to Limerick Museum for 5th & 6th Class
  • Fun Fitness - 6 weeks session with School Fitness Ireland
  • Football for boys and girls - Cumman na mBunscol
  • Football training each Wednesday at school.

  • GOAL Jersey Day
