Lá Glas 2017

In March 2017 we celebrated Lá Glas.  The day began with a tree planting ceremony. The pupils from 5th and 6th were given the gift of a tree on their Confirmation day by Archbishop Kieran O'Reilly.  Thankfully we had a beautiful sunny spring morning!

We held a concert in the halla where each class performed.  There was dancing, singing, poetry, tin whistle and fiddle playing, a haka gaelach and we finished off with a rousing rendition of Amhrán na bhFiann.

In the afternoon, the children from 1st to 6th class had a table quiz, as gaeilge. The winning team got an Easter egg each and there were also runner-up prizes. Bain gach duine taitneamh as.
